The classic roadside motel was built in 1939 and retains the original historic footprint from an era when cars were first starting to be build for long distance travel. The "Motel" was invented in Central California as a way to give travelers a simple place to stay overnight while they continued on to their ultimate destination. Rooms were built small and kept simple with economy in mind.
We have nine of these traditional rooms, five mini cabins, a Creekside chalet and a one room vacation home called Hunter's Lodge available for nightly rental. Our onsite restaurant, the Bella Brooke Cafe, specializes in Americana comfort food and offers a wonderful selection of local wine, mead, cider, and craft beer!
Grant Grove is home to the Giant Sequoias in Kings Canyon National Park. The visitor center and the second largest tree in the world is located here.
