The Sierra Inn is a historic hotel located near the gateway entrance of Kings Canyon and Sequoia National Parks in California and just 2.5 hours from Yosemite National Park. Built in the 1930s, it has a long history of welcoming visitors to the park and offers comfortable and convenient lodging options for those seeking a base camp for exploring the park's natural wonders.

The classic roadside motel was built in 1939 and retains the original historic footprint from an era when cars were first starting to be build for long distance travel. The "Motel" was invented in Central California as a way to give travelers a simple place to stay overnight while they continued on to their ultimate destination. Rooms were built small and kept simple with economy in mind.

 

We have nine of these traditional rooms, five mini cabins, two campgrounds, one Acorn travel trailer, and a one room vacation home called Hunter's Lodge available for nightly rental. Our onsite restaurant, the Bella Brooke Cafe, specializes in Americana comfort food and offers a wonderful selection of local wine, mead, cider, and craft beer!

Grant Grove is home to the Giant Sequoias in Kings Canyon National Park. The visitor center and the second largest tree in the world is located here.
